Since 2012, Smith Shop has produced simple, high-quality, hand forged and fabricated belt buckles. With the highest possible attention to detail and craftsmanship Smith Shop produces the best quality American made belt buckles available.

Smith Shop's fabricated buckles are forged, formed, soldered, filed, sanded, and finished at our Detroit studio and are made of 100% solid metal (copper, brass, or recycled sterling silver). By soldering all of our components there is no chance that the buckle will fail or deform, and by using solid metal rather than plating the finish can never wear off over time. They are simple, extremely functional, beautifully crafted, and made to last. Our signature buckles are sold individually in our online store or through our retail partners. We have also made exclusive designs and limited manufacturing runs for a number of discerning leather manufacturers including Ginew USA, Cormac Kelly, and Werk Dorf.  For wholesale inquiries email us.  

In 2016, Smith Shop was approached by Vortic Watch Co. to create a high quality watch strap buckle that exemplifies the American manufacturing tradition. Smith Shop produced buckles on Vortic watches from 2016 to 2017.
